Step By Step Process

Step 1: Initial Consultation/Estimate

We offer a complimentary initial consultation. This consultation can occur in your home or our office. During this meeting we discuss your needs and desires along with any specific requirements for your project. We offer our suggestions and ideas while at the same time answering any questions you may have about current or future technologies. From this initial consultation we will present you with a Scope of Work document including a rough budget for the project. Assuming this budget and scope of work fits your needs we require a small design retainer fee to move to Step 2 of our process. This design fee is applied to an approved contract.

Step 2: System Design & Engineering

After receiving the design retainer fee we spend the necessary time to fully design a turn key system for you. We account for all of the parts and pieces during this phase so once we present you with a final design and project total there won’t be any surprises. Once we have a completed proposal ready we typically schedule a review meeting to go over the full system and discuss any changes that may come up. We can quickly revise the proposal to account for any changes you may desire. Upon approval we will collect an initial deposit (which accounts for the applied design fee) and begin procuring the necessary products and getting your project scheduled. We are happy to work with your interior designers, builders, architects, or anyone else involved in your project. Our ultimate goal is to make this process as easy as possible for you and everyone involved in your project. We also offer full system documentation and drawings for an additional fee if you desire.

Step 3: Installation

When the System Design is complete and your project is ready we will begin work. All phases of your project are handled in a timely fashion with a high level of care and attention to detail. During the course of your project if any changes are necessary we will present you with a written change order with a clear understanding of how the change affects the budget. All appropriate safety considerations and industry approved best practices are taken into account during the various phases such as pre-wiring, equipment placement/mounting, and final installation. Typical installations can include one or more of the following phases: Prewire, Trim (speakers, wall plates, etc. are installed), Equipment Installation, Final Testing and training.

Step 4: Completion

At the end of the job we will provide a walkthrough and demonstration of the system(s) and if necessary develop a final punch list for any remaining items. Once we, and more importantly you the client, are satisfied that we have fulfilled the scope of work our warranty period will begin. See our Warranty.

Step 5: Service & Support

Just because your project is complete doesn’t mean we abandon you. We pride ourselves on our prompt service should a problem arise. We warranty our craftsmanship for a full year and offer preventive maintenance plans as well as discounted pre-paid labor. Most systems today are very sophisticated and require periodic maintenance to perform at their best. We offer plans to cover this maintenance as well as active monitoring of network connected devices. We can be alerted to potential problems with your system usually before you are even aware. We can then proactively arrange to remedy the problem, sometimes we can even solve problems from our office without having to disturb you. In the unlikely event that a piece of equipment fails we will facilitate repair or replacement at the manufacturers discretion. We are happy to help with any other electronics whether we provided them or not.
